Sustainability is important to DAC.
Sustainability is for us and for our children and their children.
DAC’s sustainability efforts began when Jake planted five small apple trees in the small garden of the factory. He wanted to provide ‘green’ to the DAC Team who spend most of their time at work.
As time went by, he planted more trees and flowers. DAC factory became a cozier place to work. Visitors started to refer to DAC as ‘The Green Factory’.
Green and clean is for us, for all of us whether we produce products or we use products.
DAC continuously pays attention to the environment where we are working, where we are living.
Positive Environmental Impact
DAC spent eight years developing its proprietary Green Anodization process, eliminating 130 tons of phosphoric, nitric, and sulfuric acid in 2018 alone.
Green Anodization also eliminates fuel and energy consumption to transport the chemicals needed for conventional anodization.
Green Choices Come Naturally
· DAC Aluminum poles are fully recyclable
· DAC recycles all aluminum scraps into new consumer goods
· Gardens and large windows at the factory bring green views and natural sunlight into work areas
We all know that the world we are living needs to be the better place to live for the future.
Anything we do to make the world a better place to live can be called a sustainability effort.
Leave No Trace movement among backpackers is a good example of a sustainability effort.
Reducing the carbon footprint in the supply chain is also important for sustainability.
DAC believes everyone needs to learn the importance of sustainability. Where did we start this process?
-Sustainability meeting at Outdoor Show in 2018
-The first thing DAC did for sustainability was to plant 5 small apple trees in the small garden of the factory in 1988
-Trees grow over time
